Requirements for Theme

Before installing any SKT Divi Child theme you must purchase, download and install Divi Theme first.

Make sure that you’re running the latest and stable version of WordPress, PHP & MySQL.

Recommended PHP configuration limits

One of the issues you may run into is importing demo data fails. The first solution is to increase PHP limits. You can do this by yourself or contact your server provider to ask for the help to increase following PHP limits in php.ini

upload_max_filesize (512M or more)
max_input_time (300 or more)
memory_limit (512M or more)
max_execution_time (1000 or more)
post_max_size (512M)

These are just recommended values. If you've got a Congrats Message in your Divi -> Support Center, then you're good to go; please Contact your hosting support and ask them to increase these values if you don't have a Congrats message in Divi Support Center.

Theme Installation Through Dashboard

Log in to the WordPress Dashboard.
Go to WordPress Dashboard -> Appearance -> Themes.
Click on Add New Theme.
Click on Upload Theme button.
Click on Choose File button and select theme zip file then click on Install Now button and wait for the install to complete.
After the theme installed successfully, click on Activate button.
After active the theme, you will see notice!. "Kindly click on Get Started button below to get them installed." Get started with SKT Divi Child Themes, move to importing demo data process.

Manual Theme Installation using FTP

Unzip theme zip file to your Desktop.
Use an FTP client to access your host web server. Go to /wp-content/themes/
Upload theme to /wp-content/themes/.
Go to WordPress Dashboard -> Appearance -> Themes and activate theme from Dashboard.
After active the theme, you will see notice!. "Kindly click on Get Started button below to get them installed." Get started with SKT Divi Child Themes, move to importing demo data process.

Theme Demo Import

Note: All the required plugins for this theme must be installed and activated before importing demo content.
After activating the theme below screen will appear.
First you need to install and activate all the required plugins for theme, therefore click on Begin installing plugin. On the next screen install and activate all the listed plugins there.

After installing and activating all the required plugins below screen will appear.
Now click on Get started button.

Now install and activate SKT Theme Demo Import plugin as shown in below screen.

After activating SKT Theme Demo Import plugin below screen will appear.
Now click on Kindly proceed to next step button as shown in below screen.

After that below screen will appear. Now click on IMPORT DEMO CONTENT button as shown in below screen

After that below screen will appear and this is the final step.
Now click on Import Demo Content button and please be patient while WordPress imports all the content.

After successful import kindly go to WordPress Dashboard -> Appearance -> Widgets and delete 3 defaut widgets.

Home Page

Homepage is built with Divi Builder elements and some shortcodes.

Blog Section: Blog posts are displaying through shortcode [blog-posts limit='3' category=''].
Limit is for number of posts to display and category is for to display posts from specific category.

Testimonials Section: Testimonials are displaying through shortcode [testimonial-slider limit=''].
Limit is for number of testimonials to display.

Color Options

For our shortcodes we have created color options, to access them kindly go to WordPress Dashboard -> Appearance -> Customize -> SKT Theme Settings -> Color Options.

Header

To access header settings kindly go to WordPress Dashboard -> Appearance -> Customize -> Header & Navigation.

Page/Post Header
From here you can set header image for page and posts.
For pages you can set featured image to display in place of header image and for posts featured image will not display in place of header image.

Footer

To access footer settings kindly go to WordPress Dashboard -> Appearance -> Customize -> Footer.

Footer content is displaying through widgets, to access them kindly go to WordPress Dashboard -> Appearance -> Widgets.
